The 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor
It was a great car for a test drive – 2010 Ford Raptor. Maybe you’ve seen someone drove the field oversized, Blaze-Orange, heavy pickup. He looks more like he was ready to take up rescue operations in the remote mountainous area, than to be in the city, driving the atmosphere. But Raptor handles both cases with equal abilities.
Raptor another in a long line of specialty F-150 pickup trucks. This one, however, was developed by Special Vehicle Team at Ford, whose last major influence was 500 sedan. This F-150 is designated as SVT and was built specifically for off-roading. Many cars legendary for their off road capabilities, such as Land Rover cars and Hummers and pickup trucks, usually with a high standard after market products added. That is what distinguishes Raptor apart from the crowd. This pickup is built to look, feel and perform off-road.

Bad-boy image still inside with a very wide instrument panel and center console. My test model had a stunning two-tone leather seats, almost hugged you in the drive. They are comfortable and support. Places features perforated leather inserts, which helps to maintain a level of comfort.
My test model is powered by standard questions for all F-150 – 5.4-liter Triton V-8 that produces 320 horsepower. There is also an optional 6.2-liter V-8, a 5.4-liter provides all the power and ability to climb rocks or moving bed. Pendants, obviously, an important component of serious off-road vehicles and has a lot Raptor added. There is a new upper-hand lower A-arms, the new connection half that go along with the heavy axle. It does not take away from a smooth ride on road surfaces however.
My wife Judy and I had our first test drive the new Raptor in October last year down in Texas Hill country. We believed that through some pretty rugged areas near Bulverde and Bern. We even took him to the edge of the river Guadalupe. It was the day Texas Truck Rodeo tests conducted by a group of Texas Auto Writers. Raptor was so impressive that automatically writers voted him the number one event and was named “Truck of the Year.
Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is not for everyone, but it has two main identities – this is impressive, most drivers in attitude and strong position and it performs exceptionally well off-road. It does not require many additional features added. Our test model was the base price of $ 38,020, but with several options, such as the Sony radio navigation, multifunction steering wheel, pedals, the trailer brake lights, rearview camera, and heated seats, the lower the sticker was $ 46020.
